Gilles FEDAK (INRIA/University of Lyon) PhD since June 2003 of University Paris XI under advisor F. Cappello. Post-doc at University of California San Diego (UCSD) in GRAIL team Henri Casanova. I joined INRIA as a permanent researcher in October 2004 and worked in the Grand-Large team. Since 09/2008 I work as INRIA researcher CR1 with GRAAL team at LIP laboratory, University of Lyon.

Research Projects

XtremWeb, is an environment for massively parallel computing over Internet. The project has started in 1999. Last year, we have organized the XtremWeb Users' Group Workshop in Tunisia.

See also my new project BitDew, an distributed system for managing data over large scale loosely coupled Grid.

BitDew in China ! We have been selected to present our work at the CCGRID'09 conference in Shanghai. Haiwu He will present a new approach to provide the popular genomic BLAST application on Desktop Grid using a new data-driven RPC model.

DSLLab is an ongoing project which aims at building an experimental platform over broadbandand domestic Internet. We're deploying mini-PC on ADSL home users, as a sort of "PlanetLab@Home"

I also participate to EDGeS (Enabling Desktop Grid for e-Science) which is a European project with the aim of creating an integrated Grid infrastructure across Europe that seamlessly integrates a variety of Desktop Grids wih EGEE type of service Grids.
