ALCHEMY Group

Alchemy is a joint research group of INRIA Futurs (Orsay reseach unit) and LRI, Paris-Sud 11 University, and one of the most active European groups on architecture and compiler research for high-performance and embedded computing. It counts 5 faculty members, 9 PhD students, 5 MS students, 1 post-doc and 1 engineer. Alchemy collaborates with several of the top research groups in Europe (academic and industrial, mostly within the HiPEAC network) and worldwide (University of Illinois, University of Texas A&M and Austin, Princeton University, IBM Watson, HP Labs, among others).

Short Bio

Sylvain Girbal is an expert engineer of the HiPEAC network. He received is PhD from University of Paris Sud in September 2005 on code optimisation through composition of program transformation. He is currently working on UNSIIM: a common structural simulator framework for hi-performance and embedded architectures.
