Emmanuel Pietriga
I am a research scientist (Chargé de Recherche - CR1 - following INRIA's terminology), working for INRIA Saclay - Île-de-France, as a member of project-team In Situ.
I previously worked for: the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Decentralized Information Group at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence laboratory (formerly LCS) as a post-doc; Xerox Research Centre Europe and INRIA Rhône-Alpes where I prepared my PhD in Computer Science; Nuxeo as a software engineer.
I am currently working on advanced interaction techniques, e.g., multi-scale/zoomable user interfaces for interactive structured graphics: visualization and editing of structured data, such as that found on the Semantic Web; visual language environments; applications in the domains of astronomy, bioinformatics, GIS and more.
