Conference Accommodation and Registration
How to get to the Dormitory Complex?
The address of the Baits Dormitory Complex is:
1230 Hubbard Ann Arbor,
To get your room key go to Baits 1 Community Center in Parker House (one of the buildings in the Baits complex). The desks are open M-Th 8am-8pm, F,S,Su 8am-5pm. Someone at the desk will be able to check you in. If you arrive after hours, look for instructions on the building/door on how to check-in (pick up the house phone and someone will let you in).
Important note:There is only one link to register and to book rooms on the campus, for the main conference and any of the associated workshops. If you want to book one of the dormitory rooms on the campus, you can only do it with your registration (i.e. at the same time).
The fee schedule for the main conference and associated workshops is as follows (in USD):
(before May 6, 2011)
(after May 6, 2011)
Note 1: It is not possible to register separately for the conference and the workshops; you must register for the conference and your chosen workshops AT THE SAME TIME (but if you really want, you can register for the conference only, or for the workshops of your choice only). If you fail to do so your only recourse is on-site registration which may incur a late registration fee.
Note 2: conference registration includes:
- Attendance at all conference paper and poster sessions
- Electronic copy of all conference materials on a flash memory stick
- All breakfasts and lunches during conference
- Conference reception on Saturday June 18
- Conference dinner on Sunday June 19
- Conference excursion and banquet on Tuesday June 21
- Free transportation on the University of Michigan bus system
A late registration fee of $100 will be charged after May 6, so please register early!
The conference and workshops will be held at the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) building on the north campus of the University of Michigan.
Conference and workshop attendees have two options for accommodation:
- Dormitory rooms at the Baits I and II Houses that are about a 10-minute walk from the CSE building
- Standard hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn which is about a 5-minute car ride from the CSE building
We have made arrangements for special conference pricing with both the University of Michigan Housing Office and the Holiday Inn.
The cost for dormitory rooms is $41.65 (single occupancy) and $27.05 (double occupancy) plus a nominal administrative fee. Each room has private bathroom, but is otherwise quite Spartan. Guests are provided with clean linens and towels on check-in but the rooms are not serviced during their stay.
The cost for rooms at the Holiday Inn is $92 plus 11% tax.
