Nolwenn Maudet, PhD student in the HCC group at LRI, was awarded on January 28th, 2015, the Jury Award of the first EducNum competition, organized by CNIL (National Commission on Informatics and Freedom), in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Educatio

This first edition of the EducNum competition was open to students for projects that target younger kids and increase their awareness of the dangers of digital life.

The Jury Award went to Nolwenn Maudet from LRI and Thomas Thibault for their project Data Fiction. Using the same online tools and services used by children and teenagers, Data Fiction shows the user to what extent their personal data (location, contacts, web navigation) is exposed. Through three successive stages (discovery, appropriation, misappropriation), this game bets on the power of living an experience to raise the user's awareness.
