Résumé :
In this talk, we will survey very recent results of our lab, including some yet unpublished work. Results concern the energetics and structure of RNA secondary structures. We describe a new method, RNAlocopt, to
compute the partition function and sample locally optimal secondary structures, which form kinetically trapped structures with respect to the Turner-Mathews energy function. Additionally we describe work on computing the expected distance between ends of an RNA molecule, extending earlier work of Yoffe et al., and go on to describe parametric secondary structure algorithms for various RNA motifs and their use in noncoding RNA gene finders.

The work described is a composite of 4-5 papers, with collaborators: Y. Ding, I. Dotu, E. Kranakis, D. Krizanc, W.A. Lorenz, Y. Ponty, and J.-M. Steyaert.
