About me

I am a Professor in Computer Science at University of Paris-Sud and I.U.T. Orsay. I am affiliated with the LRI research laboratory and the head of the LaHDAK research team.

Background

I obtained the Bachelor's degree in CS from Politehnica University Bucharest (visiting also Università degli Studi di Brescia - 1 year - and École Polytechnique - 1 year) and the Master's degree (D.E.A. Algorithmique) from École Polytechnique. From 2004 to 2007 I did a Ph.D. in databases in the Gemo group at INRIA, advised by Serge Abiteboul and Tova Milo. Between October 2007 and August 2013 I was an Associate Professor at TELECOM ParisTech (formerly known as École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications) and a member of the DBWeb research team.
