Special Issue on Evolutionary Computation

The international journal Information Processing Letters (IPL) is considering to publish a special issue on Evolutionary Computation. IPL is a journal devoted to the rapid publication of short contributions to information processing. IPL in abstracted/indexed in a great number of services. Detailed description of aims and scope of the IPL can be found in each issue, and here.
Original research papers as well as survey papers are sought that concern
Evolutionary Computation. However, since IPL readers are not necessarily
familiar with Evolutionary Computation, it is asked that all reasearch
papers provide sufficient background material to make it readable by anyone
with little knowledge of Evolutionary Computation.
Authors are requested to submit full papers of not more than 20 pages
(12 pt, double-spaced, including figures and references). Please note that
the accepted papers will have to adhere to the format prescriptions of
IPL: ``submissions should not exceed the equivalent of nine A4 or 8 1/2-by-11
double-spaced typed pages", see detailed
instructions to authors.
Electronic submissions are strongly encouraged - see LaTeX
style files and instructions -- otherwise, five hardcopies must be
sent to one of the guest
