CNRS Bronze Medal : Lin Chen

The CNRS bronze medal rewards researchers in the early stages of their career whose work has established them as specialists in their field. This award is a form of encouragement from the CNRS to continue with ongoing research that has already proved successful.

"Lin Chen is a faculty member who specializes in algorithms and networks, in the Graphs, Algorithms and Combinatorics team of the former LRI (now the GALaC team of LISN)."

The CNRS silver medal honours researchers for the originality, quality and importance of a body of work that is recognised nationally and internationally.

"Michel Beaudouin-Lafon aims to understand how we use computers, in order to imagine new, simpler and more powerful interactions. His visionary, multidisciplinary approach, based on mathematics, computer science and the human and social sciences, has led to the development of truly generative theories of human-computer interaction."

The CNRS collective crystal award honours teams of research support staff who have carried out projects with outstanding technical mastery, a collective dimension, applications, innovation and influence.

"The emergence and rapid spread of SARS-CoV-2 revealed the problem of collecting and sharing data, which was essential for analyzing and understanding the evolution and impact of the virus worldwide. This team of engineers has enabled the development of a dynamic mapping of clinical trials linked to the Covid-19 pandemic."
