Learning how to read and write always remains a challenge for impaired people.
We worked in close collaboration with the EREA, a specialized place for students that have intellectual or physical disorders, to design an application to learn writing and reading.
Because teachers always have their own way to teach, with custom pictograms, custom difficulties, we had to reproduce the exact path that a student would face in a lesson. Color contrasts, as well as pictograms, have been selected by their supervisor in order to be suitable for students with visual impairment.
The first step of the project was to iterate on the design and retrieve all steps of the lessons. We then prototyped a tool using mockups and finally integrate them in a Proof Of Concept.
This working POC was tested with several users to understand which benefits we can make from the use of digital support.
